Deutsches Museum Bonn
The Bonn branch of the Deutsches Museum opened in 1995 and focuses on contemporary research and technology. Since 2021 its experience rooms on artificial intelligence and artificial neural networks have covered about 1,400 square metres. It stands at the southern end of Bonn’s Museum Mile and is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
Effelsberg radio telescope
The Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy gives talks for groups in a visitor pavilion next to the 100-metre telescope, normally in German with English on request; they have been free since 1 September 2026. The 2026 talk season has ended; talks resume on 1 April 2027, and they are not held on Sundays, Mondays or public holidays (status as of 1 November 2026). There is no public road to the observatory: visitors park nearby and walk 10 to 15 minutes. The viewing platform and astronomy trails are open even outside the talk season.
UN Campus
The City of Bonn offers guided tours of the UN Campus, the home of the United Nations organisations in the city.
